The Green, Green...

...grapes of home...with apologies to Tom Jones.  No one was buried 'neath the green, green, grapes of home, and in another month or so, they'll be purple, not green.  Looking good...

The morning glories are early this year, but I guess I can believe that...the angle of the sun and the cooler temps we had this morning have autumn's fingerprints all over them...it is August, and two thirds of the summer has raced by.  (zip it, meteorology geeks...we'll discuss the summer solstice and autumnal equinox some other time.)

Not that it hasn't been hot at times this summer...saw this on my car's thermometer on Wednesday:
Outside temp wasn't really over 100, but we did hit 91 that day.

As summer seems to be packing her bags and heading for the station like a spurned lover...
was it something I said?
...my thoughts have followed the weather and turned toward fall...and of course, my second favorite holiday, All Hallows Eve...found this on GrandinRoad.com/halloween-haven:

...a creepy, jumping spider...Karen hates it.  Of course I bought a few other props, too...I'll highlight them in the weeks ahead...pretty cool.

But until then, it's still summer and my how our garden does grow...

Finally got my 1958 GE slimline tv back, but it's not quite finished...hopefully in the next two or three weeks I'll get that done...it really is a beautiful example of mid century modern design, and I'm looking forward to decorating a room around it.

Later, mcm fans...
