Now if I could just catch one of these babies...
Had quite the storm last night, but we did not lose power like so many other homes and businesses did.
Since Grand Valley State University was without power, #4 son spent the day here, tiling...that means by end of day tomorrow we'll have most of our home back.
There is a light at the far end of this self-inflicted tunnel.
Our first night in our new home was mostly sleepless...one of Karen's worthless felines spent much of the night uttering heartfelt, anguished meows that echoed off the semi-tiled floors in the unoccupied nether regions of the house.
I vowed to skewer the loathsome beast but alas, I couldn't catch him and Karen was not so secretly rooting for the foul creature to escape my barbarous clutches.
Finally did manage to swat him a glancing blow with my pillow and that seemed to silence his pitiful cries for a couple of hours.
I slept fitfully thereafter, dreaming feverishly of the many ways there are to skin a cat.
Spent a little time late this afternoon sitting under the shade of one of our enormous trees...
Once again I am exhausted, this time as much from lack of sleep as from physical exertion and mental stress, so now I will attempt to lay me down to sleep...
later, mcm fans...
