Stumbled onto a really cool mid century modern blog this week: Hepcats Haven
If you're a mid century modern fan, you should check it out...apparently catching them at a transition time in their lives, but they have a lot of way cool stuff, mostly mid century...lots of kitschy collectibles.
So I tried a new golf course this morning...the Pheasant Run Golf Club in Borculo...
...and I did ok today...I'm not very good, but occasionally I do hit good shots...and it's really enjoyable to make a strong, smooth stroke and watch the ball fly straight and long down the middle of the fairway.
Not quite as much fun to top one or hit it fat but oh well. Golf is like any other discipline...to be really good requires natural ability and lots of practice.
I don't have much natural ability for golf, and I certainly don't have much time to practice..so I have to simply accept that reality and find enjoyment in the activity.
The younger version of me was never able to do that...
We own the home; it doesn't own us...but it's so unique we do feel a responsibility to respect its roots and stay close to its mid century modern vibe.
Can you say "garage sale"? Everything must go! No reasonable offer refused!
later, mcm fans...
