A Miraculous Sight...

...Karen's car is actually in the garage!  Ok, so "miracle" might be too strong an adjective, but it did involve a prodigious amount of work to get that space cleared.  I guess this is what's known as progress.

And this has been a week of progress...we had all the outside stone power washed...and I'm pretty sure this was the first time in 50+ years this has been done.
That's "before"...someone tried to get rid of bees' nests using a blowtorch with predictable results...
...and that's "after" powerwashing all the soot and burn marks off.

That's the "before" pic of the top of the stone wall leading from our driveway to the courtyard...
...and that's the "after" pic...much improved, as was the entire outside of our house and stone walls.

Continuing in this mode, today I finally took the very last load out of the storage unit and hauled it to our home...
...ok, so a pic of an empty storage unit may not seem like much, but after all those trips to fill it up so we could sell our old home, and all those trips to empty it out and transplant it all to our new home...well, it's a welcome sight...as in woo hoo!  No more storage unit rental fees!

In the really great news department, I've just found another car I need...
That's a 1979 replica of a 1936 Auburn Boat tail speedster...a cool $50 grand will buy it for me...do I have any truly generous readers out there that want to enrich my life this way?

Hey, I'm giving you a break...if you had to buy an actual 1936 Auburn speedster you'd be shelling out north of $120,000...so don't say I never did nuthin' for ya...

And I really need this vehicle for when I go golfing...that way my ride, my clubs, even my Panama Jack hat, will all be better than my golf game...so maybe no one will notice that bc they'll be checking out them...

Short week...taking Friday off to celebrate The Dirty Dozen...
...but not that Dirty Dozen, though it is a great movie...Clint Walker is massive and Jim Brown, Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin...heck all of 'em...do a great job in that film.

No, I'm referring to my 12th wedding anniversary...do NOT tell Karen I called it that...she'll pinch me while I'm sleeping.

later, mcm fans...
