Worked for me, anyway...hit a pretty decent drive with my mid iron to start my round, and even though I lost sight of it in the mist, I was able to find it - in the fairway, no less - about 150 yards down the line.
And I should probably never golf again bc it can only go downhill from here...after double bogeys on 1 and 2 and a bogey on 3, I actually parred 4, 5 and 6, and bogeyed 7, 8 and 9.
I don't usually keep score bc I can't count that high on my 9 fingers and 10 toes, but I did keep track today when the marvel on 4 occurred...and I ended up with a 44...1 better than bogey golf.
I expect this to be certified as a bona fide miracle by someone, somewhere later this afternoon.
Saw this spectacular lake Michigan scene on one of the local weather broadcasts the other day:
Summer is rapidly retreating, but I have to admit I love early and mid-fall weather, especially when it's sunny and crisp...
Even saw a touch of red on some maple trees as I was leaving the links yesterday...beautiful...and am doing my best to embrace each day and truly enjoy the here and now, bc I know what's coming down the pike all too soon...
...in the 1965 Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer television special, "Tell me when it's over..."
I guess I don't understand the evolution of taste buds...
Progress on the house reno...measuring for upper kitchen cupboards tomorrow, to be installed the first week in October...and #1 grandson made a little progress on the living room ceiling yesterday:
Danny Kaye once said, Life is a great big canvas and you should splash as much paint on it as you can.
It's a fabulous sunny fall day out there, and I'm going to go splash some paint on it.
later, mcm fans...
