Standing Tall...

...too tall, actually...that's an early morning shot of my putt on the par 3 #5...I was sitting 2 and needed to make that putt for a par...I rolled it right up to the cup and there it sat on the lip...so close I thought maybe a slight breeze, or me jumping up and down a couple of times might make it drop...but there was no breeze and I didn't jump up and down, so I took a bogey.

And that bulge at my waistline is my untucked shirt...no, really...as far as you know, I'm 6'2" and 215 pounds of rock hard solid rippling muscle and as long as we never meet in person that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

As summer dances off the stage in preparation for fall's glorious entrance it's leaving us with one last, truly summer like weekend...thank you, Summer...
...that's the front yard earlier this year...
...and that's it tonight, about an hour before sunset...long shadows and cooler evenings, but that's ok...it's fabulous weather for mid-September.

Same time frame...
...Serenity Cove, the sequel...
...and fall mums in the courtyard, courtesy of Karen's handiwork.

Visited the farmers market today and spotted this tricked out Model A:
Note the cognitive dissonance going on with the front license plate...still, pretty cool ride.

Progress on the house reno...measured for upper kitchen cupboards this week, scheduled to be installed during the first week of October...

...and speaking of October, starting to plan for All Hallows E'en...dug out one of my Franky statues, but he had a little problem...
...of course, since he was originally patched together from various dead body parts this did not seem like too big a deal...and the application of some super glue yielded acceptable results...
Naturally, he's anxious to see his Uncle Bolts in the not too distant future...
Patience, Franky...right around the corner...

Tonight we enjoyed a fire in the chiminea on the back patio...
...and while we were outside we spotted this unusual frog...
...with big sticky feet clinging to one of the fence rails...we've got regular brown toads hopping around but haven't seen one like this before.

Today is another spectacular indian summer day...
...and that's a view of Old Glory from the courtyard...

Progress on the TAT rewrite continues...
...I'm liking the new, expanded version...in another month or so we'll see if anyone else does.

But now, the beauty of the sunshine beckons and so I lay digital pen aside for the hedonistic pleasures of lounging lazily on the back patio, cigar and libation in hand...

later, mcm fans...
