A Gorgeous...

...Fall morning...and I parred this particular hole which made it that much nicer.  This is #5 and my ball was about 3 feet off the left side of the green...a short chip with my niblick put me 7 feet from the cup and a 1 putt gave me my only par of the round.

But it was still an enjoyable 9...did pretty well from the tees, bogeyed a few, double bogeyed a couple and only fell apart and stopped counting on one...
...but then I'm at a mathematical disadvantage in the counting department so what do you expect?
I do love the beautiful Fall vistas as I stroll through the countryside in pursuit of my little white golf ball.

Had a visitor last night when I pulled into the driveway...
...a young spiker decided to avail himself of the delicacies we've been stockpiling by the feeders.
Have I mentioned I love living here?  So much fun...

Today we'll restock the deer feeder and buy some apples and corn cobs to spread around...hopefully our young buck won't be a stranger.

Also need to get our Halloween decorations and treat bags motivated...
...we've made a humble beginning but by day's end I hope to have decked the halls for All Hallow's E'en.

So I've mentioned our wild turkey friends (the feathered kind, not the whiskey) that frequent our backyard...the other day we finally had two of the males do the traditional full tail feather spread we always see on Thanksgiving decor...
...now that's what I'm talking about...nice going, gentlemen...

And I'm happy to report my oldest granddaughter successfully navigated Navy boot camp like her Uncle Benjamin, graduating yesterday as E-2:
She will soon be on her way to Washington, DC to train as part of the Ceremonial Guard.

Congratulations, Tionna!

In the "must be aht" department, I offer this composition I've entitled "the floating head"...

The day beckons so I think I'm going to go carpe this diem...

later, mcm fans...
