Atomic Monster Cafe: Golf...

...is a cruel game...this is where I ended up with my putt for par on #9 this morning...

...and this is where I started...about 30 feet away going uphill...of course I tried that same putt another 3x just to see if I could actually sink it...my first attempt was the closest I got by far...and I'll take a two putt from that distance any day of the week.

It was a gorgeous morning to walk 9...

...and I did ok...had a legitimate par on 6 (i.e., no foot wedges, no mulligans) and that bogey on 9...other than that it was my usual round of a few very nice shots, a few very bad shots, and a lot of in between shots in between...

Karen continues to whip our place (and me) into shape with all kinds of projects she dreams up while she's doing projects she's dreamed up.

The woman is merciless...however I did manage to sneak in a project of my own during one of those rare moments I was able to fool her into thinking I was obediently doing her bidding...

has he lost weight recently?

...when in fact I was summoning from the terrible depths of the arboreal nether regions...

...this tree creature guy...yes, I know, pure genius.

Mostly I think Karen just shakes her head and wonders what she was thinking when she married me.

Had our first fire of the season in our chiminea...

...quite enjoyable...we kept telling ourselves we were going to have one during the depths of winter some evening just for fun, but we never did.

Our fishies continue to prosper in their little pond...

...and along with our menagerie of birds, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, deer, a fox, a possum, a gopher and two ducks...

...we now apparently also have a dragonfly.

On the writing front, my new novella (working title, Cooksville Christmas) is coming along pretty well...got about 8,000 words so far, and it will be 25,000 to 2 7,000 when complete.
