Papa's Model T...

...The Amateur...finally complete.

Hope so, anyway...just published both the paperback and e-book but I'll probably find a few typos in the days ahead.

Gotta give a shout out to Bryson here.  I had more or less shelved this series and was on to other projects, but his request that I write another one lit a fire under me...and I feel pretty good about how this story came out.

May have to plan PMT 7 here pretty soon.

This is one of those years when Thanksgiving is as early as it can be...the 1st day of November was a Thursday, so Thanksgiving is on the 22nd...a week away...yikes...but Karen has done a nice job of decorating...
...we've got some Native Americans, some Pilgrims and a cornucopia...
...that complement a nice centerpiece in the kitchen...
...to go along with our pheasant and turkey by the fireplace...

Not sure who will be sharing the meal with us next Thursday, but I think Micah and a couple of his sons will be...maybe Ryan...maybe a couple of Karen's kids...but whoever is here will join with Karen and me as we bow our heads and give thanks to God in heaven for his abundant blessings and grace.

And then of course we'll be off to the races in hot anticipation of the arrival of the Jolly Old Elf himself...
...yeah, that guy...should be fun...

So far November has been very gloomy...something like 9 days out of the last 13 have had no sunshine at all...with temps averaging 10 degrees colder than normal and several dustings of snow...it seems my dreams of hickory golf are fading fast...but even though there's snow in the backyard...
...I still get out there and swing my hickories when I can...
...but it would be nice to jump on the California Zephyr...
...or the City of New Orleans...
...and head someplace warm...like maybe...
...but this is what's known as a pipe dream...just too much going on at work for that...heavy sigh...

I have recently talked to a couple of folks who are just a few years older than me and they do travel pretty regularly...around the US, to Europe, the Caribbean...don't know, somehow I missed that bus...somewhere along the way I turned left at the light when I should have gone right I guess.

Not that big a fan of traveling anyway, but it would be nice to escape the frozen arctic for a few weeks in the dead of winter.

Maybe I can convince a few million people to buy Papa's Model T: The Amateur...

Something for the bucket list...

later, mcm fans...
