My Golf Course...

...has a different look this week...because we finally had our pool installed.

Marilyn overseeing the arrival of the Mirage Pools crew

It happened fast, going from this...

...to this...

...over the course of 3 and a half days.

Next week they pour the cement...after that we have fencing being installed...then 4 lamp posts placed around it...then the landscaping (perhaps hydroseeding)...

So it's definitely still a work in progress, but hey...we've got a pool...

...so cue wild cheering and applause!

You just knew were going to see that again, didn't you?

Here's this week's edition of "life at the lake", courtesy of my co-worker Larry...

They've got the pontoon in the water now, apparently accomplished over the 4th of July holiday.

And Chip has been hanging around for awhile.  Not sure how much help he is, but it can truly be said he works for peanuts.

Gotta admit, one of those two has the other one pret-ty well trained...

Progress has slowed on...

...but not because I'm losing steam...the more I research the more possibilities present themselves, so I'm running through variant storylines in my head.

Definitely want to avoid the "paralysis by analysis" syndrome...

...but a little time up front can save lots of time rewriting later.

As we'll pass the halfway point of summer this week (and no, I will not entertain any "lammas day" arguments on this subject)...

...it's time to review priorities and make sure you're panicking enough about all the right things.

Y'know, all that stuff you said you were gonna do this summer but haven't yet?

Well you're running out of time so you better kick it into gear and get moving.

Remember, it's not whether you're enjoying yourself, it's are you checking things off your list?

So choppety-chop-chop boys and girls...time's a wastin'...

Apparently all charges have been dropped, so after a quick spin through the parting shots department, you're free to go...

when January rolls around...

...I want to remember the sights, scents and sounds of summer

cool solar light patterns on Larry's dock

squirrels are building nests in our oak trees now...and sadly they displaced a bird's nest and egg while so doing

As dear ol' Dad used to say to me whenever I went to him for advice...

You can't buy memories like that.

later, mcm fans...
