A Funny Thing Happened...

...on the way to my last round of golf...except I'm not laughing.

Had some unseasonably warm weather mid-week, but work commitments...

...put the kibosh on any golf escapades.

Now Ol' Man Winter has made his unwelcome appearance.

Course closed, so thus endeth the golf season.

In desperate situations like this, there's only one option.

It's time to call in the big guns:

"Dear Santa,

I've been really really really good this year and deserve a Skytrak Golf Simulator." *

"Don't forget the extended warranty."


Fallout from the recent election continues, with states like Nevada and Arizona slow rolling the vote counts and magically eking out wins for democrat candidates.

Florida counts 7.7 million votes on election day; it takes Arizona a week to count less than 4 million votes, yet they're self-righteously indignant if anyone accuses them of doing what they're obviously doing: cheating.

There's no reason they can't count votes quickly and efficiently other than corruption and incompetence.

But let's be honest, it's nothing new... this political cartoon from the 1890's attests.

Absolute power has always corrupted absolutely; deceit and dishonesty are endemic to mankind.

So millions of Christians prayed over these elections; God in His wisdom said "not now".

What to do?

As Christians we're called to accept the will of God and keep the faith, remembering God is in control.

That doesn't mean we stop working for free and fair elections; nor does it mean we stop praying for right to prevail over wrong.

But as John Adams said, "Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Does anyone actually believe America remains a "moral and religious people"?

Justice will be accomplished at the final reckoning.

Until then, we soldier on.

Contemplating putting an inexpensive 7' pool table in our "bonus room"...

...mostly to give my grandkids something to do when they come over in the winter, other than sit around, staring at their phones, waiting for the torture of another visit to the Old Folks Home to end.

Before I do, I've got to clear out all the "stuff" we've  accumulated there...

...and the only place it can go for now is in the garage where I usually park my truck.

Guess who's parking outside this winter?
