...to Thanksgiving weekend...and it matches my mood perfectly for reasons unnamed.
But the holiday itself was ok...down in numbers due to sickness, unfortunately, but the show went on.
As soon as the day was a fait accompli, we turned the page on Thanksgiving and welcomed Christmas.
Started with some outside decorations, including both the Sacred...
Karen's traditional tree...
Much more to come on the decorating front, I'm sure.
To squeeze a little more enjoyment out of the season, I ordered a couple of freshly pressed vinyl LP's:

Der Bingle singing White Christmas and a host of others |

Ol' Blue Eyes crooning some Christmas classics |
Best selling Christmas song of all time?
If you answered "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey, you were born after 1975, weren't you?
Sorry, not even close...it's White Christmas...
...by Bing Crosby, with more than 50 million copies sold world wide.
Best way to enjoy this classic?
By seeing Bing in person, of course.
Sadly, you'd have to time travel to do that...
...a feat - despite the optimism of the 1960's Time Tunnel TV show - as yet unperfected.
2nd best option is to kick it old school and spin some vinyl...
...which is exactly what I'm doing this year...
later, mcm fans...
