All Hallows...

...came early this year...by decree of exactly whom, I wist not.

Whatever cabal conspires in the dark, dank confines of tendentious oligarchy decreed our town would observe trick or treat on October 30th, not the 31st per usual.

We checked with a couple of neighbors to be sure, then hoisted the Jolly Roger...

...and forged ahead with our preps...

Karen checking out Big Frank

...one day earlier than normal.

Good thing we did, too, because they were right, and for whatever reason we had more trick or treaters than ever who dared our infamous "walk of fear".

Ok, so it's not all that scary...

I see a heartwarming story of a boy and his dog here

...just a little spooky at times...

...and it was funny listening to the kids oohing and ahhing as they came up the sidewalk.

One little boy told us he'd decided not to be scared this year...a repeat customer, apparently.

your hosts for the evening:  Mr. & mrs. Frank n. stein

Treat in hand, they seemed to enjoy their exit almost as much as their entrance.

And as always, the adorable Mr. Bolts rode shotgun over the festive activities...

...ensuring everyone minded their P's & Q's.  (I'll be honest, I had no idea he knew the alphabet.)

All in all, a successful evening.

Now to put all this stuff  away.

Where are the servants...

...when you need them?

Remember the friend from work who got to visit Hawaii for free?

long time Seattle resident

Oops, wrong pic...hold on a sec...

Steve and his posse

...there we go (who, me?  jealous?)

Well, he sent along a few more beautiful pics of his fabulous island getaway, to wit...

That has to be one of the most spectacular places in all of God's creation.

Very kind of Steve to share it with us, but next year I'm disguising myself as luggage...

...and going with them.

Can hardly believe I'm writing this, but I may have a shocking announcement soon...

...re: hickory golf.

Stay tuned.

Time for a brisk tango...

We're now officially at the top of the super slide to the end of the year so b
