Unfortunately these bad actors don't disappear just because you close your eyes.
But for the sake of sanity, we're moving on...
"Wow! We've enjoyed all this great weather and we still have another month of Summer!"
The "who are you kidding? everyone knows the glass is half empty" part of me thinks:
"What the heck?
"I blinked, Summer packed her bags and is headed to the station!"
My enjoyment of what's left of this season...
...will be heavily influenced by which part of me rules the day.
A) the Olympics are taking place in Paris -and-
B) their opening ceremonies were an intentional slap in the face to Christians everywhere.

I gather mocking believers in Christ is their brave statement of liberation from the tyranny of oppressive Christian morals.
In truth, this is hardly brave; in fact it's open cowardice.
If they're so brave, why didn't they mock Muslims and their faith in Allah and Mohammed?
Simple: they know they'd be targeted for violent retribution if they did.
As the French did with la guillotine to their enemies so the Muslims would do with scimitars to these poltroons, and they know it.
On the other hand, Christ taught His followers to forgive their enemies:
Matthew chapter 5, Christ's Sermon On The Mount |
But their ignorance of God’s judgment is profound:
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
- Galatians 6:7
God is patient toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
He's also just, and the clock is ticking.
It took a while, but thanks to club maker Kelly Leonard of KL Hickory, my pre-1900 play set is now complete.
Here's the final piece of that puzzle:
It's 42.5" long, swing weight of D8 and 14 degrees of loft, so I use it from the tee and for long fairway shots.
Put it through its paces for the first time this week...
Still getting the feel of this longer, heavier club, but making progress.
my "1 putt for par" leave on the par 5 #8 |
It's such a gas swinging these pre-1900 clubs, I can't imagine going back to my 1920's hickories.

...of yet another disastrous AMC blog entry please keep in mind yours was a conscious, voluntary decision to risk it all and visit this site.
Bold, daring, unafraid...what the heck were you thinking?
Here's to better decision making in the future.
