For your sake, I certainly hope so...no point in meeting the same fate as <St. Valentine>...or even <The Bugs Moran Gang>.
For our part we eschewed the crowds and dined in, enjoying hobo dinners on the grill with pink champagne:
Now that's some good eatin' right there.
It was also <Pale Blue Dot Day>...
Hope you enjoyed a great Valentine's Day.
It's been a while, but my co-worker shared this beautiful picture of his happy sons, so it's time once again for the Twins Report:
From months in intensive care to handsome, healthy baby boys, thanks to the hard work of amazing doctors and nurses, buoyed by answered prayers of family and friends.
From Psalms 127:
"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.
As arrows are in the hands of a mighty man, so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them..."
My co-worker is a very happy man.
Well, he done dooded it.
TK shoved and raged at his coach during the Swiftie Bowl - presumably because he wasn't getting enough touches (or something).
In so doing, he brought down the wrath of his main squeeze's cult following upon his pointed head:
The NFL Commish curries her favor! Pundits proclaim her a kingmaker! Slavish pre-teen fans merit their own column heading in national consumer spending reports!
As Queen of the Swiftieverse, she's no doubt convinced her big, bad, boy toy is submissively tethered to her diamond studded leash.
Until he proves her wrong, of course - curse his toxic masculinity!
Then what?
Someone should clue TK he's already morphing into fodder for her next platinum breakup album.
Dropped a couple of inches of the white stuff on us, and temps stayed below freezing for a couple of days.
However, if the weather geeks are right...
...it ain't gonna last.
Forecasts are calling for temps in the 40's for much of the coming week.
If they're right, you know what that means:
Unlike Henny Youngman who once said -
Sadly, the acid test is still a couple of months away.
In the meantime, I'm definitely enjoying this very unusual winter.
Time to 23 skidoo! See ya in the funny pages, kiddo...

In honor of Valentine's Day, I leave you with this lovely poem from the great Robert Burns, circa 1794:
