Happy New Year...


 ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Time will tell, I guess.

I'm always leery when people say, "well, at least it can't be any worse than..."

As anyone with functioning gray matter between their ears knows from hard experience, it most certainly can.

In any event, 2020 has beat its hasty retreat...


...and as noted above, 2021 won't have to do much to surpass 2020's "accomplishments".

All 9 fingers crossed and praying for better in the year ahead...


We spent New Year's Eve the way we always do...


...tripping the light fandango amongst the upper crust at an expensive party with all our fabulously wealthy, elitist friends...


...well, more or less.

But before we partied like it was 2020, we first trekked over to a friend's house for a New Year's Eve Day luncheon...


...which thankfully was nothing like the pic above, but was in fact quite delightful...enjoyed good company, good conversation and good food...a wonderful trifecta on the last day of 2020.

Once back home we cued up the hands-down-best-ever-New-Year's-Eve-movie...


...then watched ball drop on an eerily empty Times Square - sadly appropriate for this empty shell of a year - replete with a shot of two mask wearing morons "kissing"...obvious "plants" to prove how woke they are...may God have mercy on us all and deliver us from the idiots in the legacy media.

After that we shared a real kiss but no sip of champagne at midnight this year...

the hired help were at it again...

...since I forgot to buy any...oops.

Do we know how to party or what?



Some interesting news on the Philco V-handle front:

Mandy from The Retro Revival sent me a pic of the Model Number tag on our refrigerator...


...and while that may not seem too exciting, it actually is.

Why?

Because Philco started their model numbers back then with letters to identify the year:

A=1946, B=47, C=48, D=49, E=50, F=51, G=52, H=53, J=54, K=55, L=1956

Since ours starts with the letter "L" it means our 'fridge was manufactured in 1956.

As Serendipity would have it, that's the same year I was manufactured.

Meant to be, I guess.


Later today the plan is to start the de-Christmasing process, beginning with climbing up on the housetop, click, click, click...


...since I hafta take down good Ol' St. Nick...don't want the neighbors to stone us for over extending the season.

Let's face it, there's only so much Ho Ho Ho people can take this time of year.

As I'm freezing my butt off climbing up and down ladders and coiling up extension cords I'll be wondering why in the world we thought it was a good idea to put all this stuff up 4 weeks ago.


Psychologists call this PRBHS (Post Regressive Bah Humbug Syndrome)...no, really, it's an actual thing...go ahead, look it up...I don't mind waiting...what?  Nothing??

Well, they should call it that...


As we begin 2021 I'm earnestly praying this will not be the last New Year's Eve celebration we experience as a true, constitutional republic...that the tide of evil threatening to overwhelm our country can yet be turned back and the republic preserved as it was founded 245 years ago.

The great irony here is after brazenly cheating and openly defying election laws in multiple states, the radical left now expects us to play by the rules and simply rubber stamp the illegitimate results obtained via lawlessness.

What they've done is worse than simply hijacking the voting process in an election; by their own admission they hope they've struck a fatal blow to the bedrock principle of "one citizen = one vote".

Recall the words of the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

"That to secure these rights Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."

Note the progression:

1) God gives us rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

2) To make sure we can enjoy these God given rights, We the People establish Governments, whose express purpose for being is to safeguard our rights.

3) These man made Governments derive their powers from one and only one source: We the People; and then only with our consent.

When someone attempts to deprive us of our right to choose our leaders in free and fair elections, they are attacking the very foundation of our Republic.

Here's hoping our legitimately elected leaders, all of whom swore a solemn oath to uphold the constitution, actually have the cojones to respond appropriately.
